Card reader terminal setup instructions (Storable Payments)

After you receive your Storable Payments card reader terminal(s), complete the setup steps below. Storable Payments offers two terminal options. Select your card reader model to view the correct setup instructions for your terminal.

U.S. facilities 

Canadian facilities

Lane/3600 and Lane/3000 setup instructions

Follow the instructions below to set up your Lane/3600 or Lane/3000 card reader.

1. Plug in the terminal power cable and plug the ethernet cable into your router.

2. The terminal will automatically power on and you’ll see the Welcome screen.

3. After loading is complete, you will see an Activation Code.

4. At the facility level of your storEDGE software, navigate to Settings > Software Settings

5. Click Settings under the Billing section

6. Check the box labeled Show EMV payment method option.

7. Navigate back to the settings screen and click Card Readers under the Billing section.

8. Click Add new card reader.

9. Enter the Activation Code shown on your card reader terminal and a Description. The Description can be anything that will help you identify the correct terminal when you are taking payments.  add card reader.png
10. Click Save. You should see a message confirming that the terminal was successfully added.

11. The card reader will reboot 1 or 2 times after you save the information in storEDGE. If you see a new activation code on the terminal screen between reboots, disregard it.

12. Your terminal will then be ready to use. If you need to set up another card reader, repeat the steps above. 

 

Link/2500 setup instructions

Follow the instructions below to set up your Link/2500 card reader.

1. Connect the card reader to a power outlet with the provided USB cable to charge the terminal.

2. The terminal will power on automatically when it is plugged in and you’ll see the Welcome screen.


Note: If the terminal is charged, you can turn it on using the Green button.

3. Enter 0001 on the number pad to open the Admin Menu.


You can navigate the Admin Menu in two ways:

a. Use the up (F2) and down (F3) arrows to highlight a menu item and press the Green button to select it.

b. Press the number button that corresponds with the menu item you want to select.


4. Select Communication Type

5. Select WIFI.

6. Press the Yellow (Back) button to navigate back to the Admin Menu. 

7. Select Wifi Parameters.

8. Select My Networks. Find your WiFi network name and enter the password.

9. Press the Yellow (back) button until you have exited the Admin Menu and are back on the home screen.

10. You will see an Activation Code that you will enter in storEDGE.

11. At the facility level of your storEDGE software, navigate to Settings > Software Settings

14. Navigate back to the Settings screen and click Card Readers under the Billing section.

  1. Click Save. You should see a message that the card reader was successfully added.

When unplugged, the terminal can be powered off by holding down the .,#* and Yellow (Back) buttons simultaneously. The terminal can be powered on when it is charged by pressing the Green button.

Be sure to leave the card reader terminal on at the end of each day so that all payments from the day are correctly sent to the processor.

 

Stripe Reader S700/  BBPOS WisePOS E setup instructions (Canadian facilities only)

1. Connect the device to a power outlet with the provided USB-C cable. This charges the device and may be required if the device’s battery is empty when you receive it. 

2. Press the power button on the side of the device.

7. At the facility level of your storEDGE software, navigate to Settings > Software Settings
