Once you have received your terminal device, setting it up is easy. Just turn it on and connect it to your Wi-Fi network by swiping down from the top of the device’s screen and selecting your Wi-Fi network. Your terminal must be connected to Wi-Fi in order to process a payment. Then, follow the steps below to set your terminal up in storEDGE.
1. Find your terminal ID in your terminal.
a. Tap the icon in the bottom left corner of the terminal screen to access the home screen. |

b. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen. |

c. Tap About. |
|
d. The Terminal ID will be shown on the next screen. |
2. At the facility level of your storEDGE software, navigate to Settings > Software Settings.
3. Click Settings under the Billing section
4. Check the box labeled Show EMV payment method option.
5. Navigate back the settings screen and click Card Readers under the Billing section.
4. Click Add new card reader.
5. Enter the Terminal ID shown on your terminal device and a Terminal Name. The terminal name can be anything you’d like that will help you identify the correct device when you are taking payments.
6. Click Save. You should see a message that the terminal was successfully added.
If you need to set up another terminal, repeat the steps above using the additional Terminal ID numbers.
Using the terminal to take a payment
Once the terminal is set up, you can use it to take customer payments by clicking the Card Reader radio button and selecting the terminal from the Card Reader Information dropdown menu.
Be sure to leave the terminal on at the end of each day so that all payments from the day are correctly sent to the processor.
Using the terminal for same day voids or refunds
If you need to process a same day void or refund, you can do so from your terminal device.
a. Tap the icon in the bottom left corner of the terminal screen to access the home screen. |

b. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen. |
|
c. Tap History. For same day voids, find the transaction under "Pending." For refunds, find the transaction under "Processed" |

d. Select the transaction you'd like to void or refund, and follow the prompts on the screen to perform the void. |
Your storEDGE software will automatically record the refund.
