In storEDGE, recurring fees are referred to as services. Once services are setup in your account, you can add them during the move-in process or to existing tenant accounts. See the help article, Fees and Services, for more information on setting up services.
Adding Services During Move-In
⚠️ If Required at move-in is selected in Service Settings, the service will be automatically added to the move-in.
1. At the bottom of the second step of the move-in process, click the +Add services button.
2. Select the service from the dropdown list.
Add multiple services by clicking the +Add services button again.
Remove a service item by clicking the grey X to the right of the service.
3. Complete the move-in process. The service amount will be added to the move-in total and will be charged on a monthly basis.
Adding Services to an Existing Tenant
Services can also be added after the move in process is complete.
1. Navigate to the tenant's profile and click the Edit Rental button from the tenant's General page.
2. Click the +Add Service button in the Unit Additional Items section.
3. Make your selections in the popup and click Add Service.
4. Click the Update Ledger button. The service billing will begin based on your effective date selection. Note: choosing Effective Immediately will cause the payment screen to open showing the prorated service amount for the current billing period. You can take the payment now or click outside of the payment screen to have the unpaid charge added to the tenant's ledger.
Deleting Services from a Tenant's Account
To cancel recurring service fees from a tenant's billing follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the tenant's profile and click the Edit Rental button from the tenant's General page.
2. Click the Cancel button in the Unit Additional Items section.
3. You'll have the option to enter a note about the cancellation. Then confirm the cancellation by clicking the Cancel Service button.
4. Click the Update Ledger button. The service billing will stop based on the effective date.
