How to connect Google Analytics and Tag Manager
Before connecting Google Analytics and Tag Manager, you must have accounts set up with Google Analytics. Visit https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/ to sign up for Google Analytics or https://www.google.com/analytics/tag-manager/ to sign up for Tag Manager. You'll receive a code from each of these products that you can use to connect your accounts.
Once you have the needed codes from Google, you'll be ready to add them to the Rental Center or your website.
Connecting your Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager accounts to the Rental Center
To connect your accounts to the Rental Center, visit your Corporate Settings and find the Analytics section under the Marketing heading.
The next screen provides a place to add the codes you received from Google. Saving your codes in this section will effectively connect these accounts to your Rental Center.
Once connected, you can view your analytics data from the Google Analytics and Tag Manager interfaces.
Connecting your Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager accounts to your website
If you're on our latest, integrated website platform, you can add Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Facebook Pixel information from your website's admin. To do so:
- Navigate to your website admin.
- Access the Settings tab by clicking the gear icon in the left navigation bar.
- Access the Analytics tab.
- Enter the codes that Google provided you.
- Click Save.
