⚠️ Surcharging is currently only available to some customers and will be made available to all Storable Payments customers at a later date.
How do I enable a surcharge fee?
If you use Storable Payments, you have the option to add a surcharge fee to credit card payments. Surcharging enables you to charge tenants a percentage-based fee on the total transaction amount when processing electronic payments to offset costs associated with payment processing and credit card payment fees.

Enable surcharging in your software
1. At the Corporate Level of your Edge software, navigate to your Software Settings.
2. Click Fees under the Billing section.
3. Select the facilities you want to use surcharging and click Edit Fees.
4. In the Fee Type dropdown menu, select CREDIT_CARD_SURCHARGE.
5. In the Description field, enter a fee description such as “Credit Card Transaction Fee”.

- Automatically apply the maximum fee: To charge the maximum fee automatically, click On under Apply and automatically update the fee to the maximum.
- Custom fee: If you want to enter a custom fee, leave Apply and automatically update fee to the maximum off and enter the fee amount in the Custom Fee Amount field. Please see our FAQ for information about the maximum fee you can enter.
7. Click Save.
