The Online Move-In tenant experience

The Online Move-In feature can be used on Storable websites or third-party websites. It provides an upgraded customer experience that allows tenants to complete their move-in directly on your website. This streamlined move-in process reduces the likelihood of abandonment and boosts the chances of converting reservations into paying tenants.

Tenants will complete the following, without ever leaving your website:

  • Selecting Insurance
  • Providing Driver's License details and image, address, and vehicle storage details (if applicable)
  • Collecting and validating payment information
  • Signing the lease agreement

Customizing your Online Move-In flow

The following aspects of the online move-in flow can be changed. If you would like to make changes, please contact our Support Team at edgesupport@storable.com.

  • The color, hover color, and border radius of buttons on the units table
  • The font, style, and color of text on the units table
  • Store insurance options and the name of the insurance/protection plan
  • Whether gate access codes are given to tenants after signing the lease
  • Whether “Contact us” is shown instead of “Rent Now” when unit availability is low

Customer experience

The customer will start the Online Move-In flow from the Units Table on your website.

In this example, the customer clicks Select from the Units Table to choose what unit type they want.

Once the customer clicks Select, they will be asked to enter their required information. Then, they can either Rent or Reserve the unit.

If the customer clicks Reserve, a reservation is made, and a confirmation email is sent to them. They can choose to complete the move-in later by accessing the move-in link in the email.

If the customer clicks Rent Now, the online move-in app will load on your webpage.

The customer will fill out all required information and click Continue.

The customer will then provide payment details, verify their information, and click Complete Rental if everything looks good.

The customer will need to agree to the Terms and Conditions by clicking Agree & Submit Payment to continue.

The customer will then click Sign Lease & Save Time Later to sign the lease and complete their move-in. If the customer does not continue on to sign the lease at this point, they can use the link in their confirmation email to sign the lease later.

The lease will open on the same page. The customer will click Start.

They will complete the eSign experience to sign their lease. Once signed, the customer will see a success message and click Continue.

The customer will see an overview of their rental, including their access code or instructions to contact the facility for their access code, depending on your settings. They will receive this information via email as well.
