Merchandise Sales Detail Report

The Merchandise Sales Detail report is used to track and reconcile individual sales of merchandise items. It captures the specifics of each transaction, including sales, refunds, discounts, and applicable taxes, offering a complete audit trail for sales activity at the facility.

Date: The date of the sale or refund transaction.

Item: The description of the retail item sold or refunded (e.g., 2x2 Box, Disc Lock).

Acct CD (Account Code): The general ledger accounting code associated with the merchandise sale (e.g., 4200, 4202).

Invoice #: The unique identification number for the original sale or the credit memo for a refund.

Tenant Name: The name of the customer/tenant associated with the sale, if applicable. This field will be blank if no tenant was associated with the sale.

Unit: The unit number associated with the tenant, if applicable.

Qty: The quantity of the item sold. Negative quantities indicate a sale (e.g., -5), and a positive quantity indicates a refund (e.g., 1).

Price: The total sales price for all items. This may be negative for a refund transaction.

Discount: The total dollar amount of any applied discount on the sale.

Sale: The total revenue amount for the line item (PRICE - DISCOUNT), before tax  

Tax: The total sales tax applied to the line item. This may be negative for a refund.

Total: The final amount charged to the customer (PRICE - DISCOUNT + TAX). This may be negative for a refund.

User: The name of the user who processed the transaction.

User CD (User Code): This column will be left blank.
