You can use Web Rates to advertise unit rates on your marketing website or a third-party advertiser that are different from the rates you offer in-store. Web Rates can only be entered/updated for unoccupied units. Similar to Managed Rates, you can use either Fixed Web Rates or Automated Web Rates.
Web Rate Types
Fixed Rates
Fixed Web Rates are entered as a dollar amount. For example, if your standard in-store rate for 10x10s is $100, using the Fixed Web Rate option, you can enter $79.95 as the Web Rate.
Automated Rates
Automated Web Rates increase or decrease standard or managed rates by a variable dollar amount or percent so it automatically fluctuates as your Standard or Managed rate changes. For example, you could set your Web Rates to be $5 less than your in-store rates.
Creating Web Rates
Web Rates can be added or edited from the Revenue Management section of your Corporate level software.
⚠️ Revenue Management must be enabled by storEDGE Support. If you do not see this option in your software and would like to have it enabled, please call us at (913) 954-4745.
Navigate to the Corporate Settings tab.
On the Software Settings tab, click Revenue Management under the Rates & Promos heading. |
You can enter Fixed Web Rates with the .csv upload tool.
You can enter Automated Web Rates directly on the Revenue Management page.
Adding or editing Automated Web Rates
- Filter your unoccupied units to view the units you would like to adjust.
- Scroll to the far right of your Revenue Management table. Under Web Rate, you’ll see an Add or Edit button for each unit group, depending on whether a Web Rate already exists. Click either Edit or Add next to the unit group.
- Toggle the button under Activate Web to On.
Select Amount or Percent for the Adjustment Type and enter an increase or decrease value.
If you’d like to decrease the rate, use a negative value. For example, to decrease the rate by $5, enter -5 in the field.
Adding or changing Fixed Web Rates
You can enter Fixed Web Rates by exporting the Revenue Management table as a .csv file. Filter your units table and click the Export button. It may take a few minutes to prepare the .csv file.
When the file is ready to download, a Download button will appear. Click this button to download the file.
Open the file on your computer and enter the desired Fixed Web Rates in the Web Rate column to the far right of the document. If you use Tiered Pricing, you will see columns for each of your pricing tiers and columns for each Web Rate Tier.
Enter the new Web Rates and save the file. Import it back into storEDGE by clicking the Import Button.
Using your Web Rates
Once you have set up Web Rates, use the Channel Rates section of your software to select where your Web Rates appear.
