To view Business Intelligence Dashboards, your organization must use SSO. Users also need the Business Intelligence (BI) access profile assigned to them in the SSO portal. If you're not already using SSO to log into Storable Edge, you can find instructions in our guide to get SSO quickly enabled.
If an admin chooses to enable SSO for all users when enabling SSO for Business Intelligence, all existing Edge users will receive the BI Access Profile automatically when they create their SSO user account. If not, an admin will need to create the BI Access Profile and assign it to users using the instructions below.
This guide walks you through creating a Business Intelligence access profile in the SSO portal and assigning it to an existing user in your organization.
Step 1: Sign in to the SSO Portal
- Go to https://portal.storable.io/.
- If you already have an active session, click Authenticate.
- If prompted, enter your SSO username and password to log in.
Step 2: Navigate to Settings
Once you’re signed in, you’ll land on the SSO Portal homepage.
Click Settings from the left side top menu.

Step 3: Open the Access Profiles section
- In Settings, select the Access Profiles tab.
- You’ll see a list of existing access profiles.
- Click New Access Profile.

Step 4: Create a new access profile
1. Enter the access profile name: Business Intelligence.
2. (Optional) Add a description to help identify the access profile later.
3. Under Permissions, select Business Intelligence and toggle on Allow access.
4. Click Save.
You should now see Business Intelligence listed under Access Profiles.
Step 5: Assign the access profile to a user
1. From the Settings menu, click on the Users tab.
2. Locate the user you want to update and click Edit.
You will see the user details expanded.
3. In the Access Profiles section, add Business Intelligence.
4. Click Save User.
After saving, you’ll return to the Users list.
- The updated user will now show Business Intelligence under their Access Profiles column.
- A confirmation message (“User updated”) will appear at the top of the screen.
By completing these steps, you’ve successfully created the Business Intelligence access profile and assigned it to your user. The user should log out of Edge and log back in to access the Business Intelligence portal.
