If Undo Move-Outs is enabled for your facility and Role, you can undo a move-out within the same day that it took place (up to 11:59 p.m. in the facility’s time zone).
Please note: A move-out cannot be undone if a refund was issued or requested at move-out.
When Undo Move-Outs is enabled, units can be rented to another tenant on the same day as the move-out. If another tenant rents or reserves the unit between the move-out and undoing the move-out, the Undo Move-Out button won't be unavailable until the new tenant is moved to a different unit and the unit is available again.
Undo a move-out
Follow the directions below to undo a move-out.
|
You can undo a move-out from two places on the Tenant’s page: the History tab and the Past Rentals section.
1.Click the Undo Move-Out button. |
|
|
2. Choose whether to notify the tenant about the undo move-out and select an Undo move-out reason. 3. Click Undo Move-Out. |
|
| If you choose to notify the tenant, they will receive an email and/or text message depending on your settings. | |
| 4. The tenant history will show that the move-out was undone. | |
| 5. | The unit will be available to rent or reserve immediately unless your Allow Dirty Units to be rented or Allow damaged units to be rented settings in Edge prevents that. Users with permission to change the Rentable? status can choose to make the unit unrentable after move-out from the Unit page. |
If a fee was added during move-out, the invoice for the fee will be automatically voided.
Please note: Payments taken at move-out will not be reversed when a move-out is undone. If necessary, the payment will need to be refunded manually.
