Occupancy Report

Storable Edge

The Occupancy Report helps you track occupancy metrics for your facility and unit groups across three categories

  1. By Unit Occupancy

  2. By Square Footage Occupancy

  3. By Economic Occupancy

Each section first reports the numbers for the total facility view, then by unit type (Self Storage, Parking, Mailboxes, etc.). Finally, each type is subdivided into unit groups based on size and standard rate.

For Unit Occupancy and Square Foot Occupancy, each category is exclusive, meaning a unit will be counted only once. To ensure consistency with the rest of FMS, we have the following priority list:

  • Complimentary

  • Occupied

  • Reserved

  • Unrentable

  • Vacant

If a unit falls into two or more of these categories, it is treated as the top-most category (e.g., if they are complimentary+occupied, they are complimentary; if it is occupied+unrentable, it is occupied; if it is unrentable+vacant, it is unrentable). Some combinations don't make sense (e.g., occupied + vacant), but any that do should be handled with this logic.
