Ad Hoc SMS templates let you send one-off text messages to tenants using reusable message templates. This helps your facility communicate quickly and consistently for frequent non-automated messages.
Quick Start
Create a template:
Go to Corporate Software Settings > SMS.
Create a new template and set Triggered By to Ad Hoc.
Save the template.
Send a text message using an Ad Hoc template
Open a tenant profile and select Send Document.
Choose SMS and your Ad Hoc template from the drop-down menus.
Send the message.
Prerequisites
To send text messages, SMS messaging must be enabled for your facility, and Send Ad Hoc documents via SMS must be enabled for your user role.
To create a template, you must have permission to manage Documents and Emails settings.
To send a text message to a tenant, the tenant must have opted in to receive SMS messages.
Create a template
1. At the Corporate level of your software, navigate to Settings > Software Settings. |

2. Select SMS under the Documents section. |

3. Click on the Templates tab. |

5. Enter a Description for the template, and select which facilities should have access to the template. Compose your message in the Body field, adding any needed replacement fields (such as tenant name or unit number). |

6. In the Triggered By drop-down menu, select Ad Hoc. |
|
7. Click Save & Exit when you're done. |
