Storable Payments is upgrading to a new payment platform that supports features such as digital wallets. To finish the upgrade, you'll complete a short verification of your business and banking details. We've prefilled as much information as possible to help make this process fast and easy for you.
We’ll notify you when you are eligible to upgrade. Once you get that notification, follow the instructions below to upgrade your account.
FAQ
Am I required to upgrade?
Yes, all Storable Payments customers will need to upgrade. The upgrade enables new features and technology that will enhance your payment experience, capture more successful transactions, and improve reporting. You will have access to the digital wallet feature (Apple Pay and Google Pay) and will be able to accept payments through EMV devices.
Why do I need to complete onboarding and confirm my information?
As part of the upgrade, a new merchant account is being created with our new provider, Stripe. We have populated as much data as possible to minimize the effort required of you to complete the application with Stripe. However, some information, such as your bank account details, needs to be provided by you.
What are some of the immediate benefits of the upgrade?
You will have access to the digital wallet feature (Apple Pay and Google Pay) and will be able to accept payments through EMV devices.
Will my deposits look different after upgrading?
Yes, credit card and ACH transactions will be combined into a single deposit.
Will my fees change after the upgrade?
No, there will be no changes to your fee or pricing structure. You may see two fee records for a few months after the upgrade if any refunds or disputes arise for transactions processed before the upgrade.
What should I do if I need to refund a payment processed before the upgrade?
Refunds for transactions accepted prior to the upgrade can still be processed and will be debited by our previous processor.
What should I do if I need to make a change to my bank account during the upgrade?
Support will help guide you through best practices for making this change to ensure it doesn’t impact your ability to collect payments or process refunds. Reach out to us at 737-787-7765.
Will my tenants need to re-enter saved card information after the upgrade?
No, there will be no disruption to saved payment methods and recurring payments. Any payments scheduled to recur or to be processed on autopay will continue to run as usual.
Can I still process payments while my account is being upgraded?
The upgrade will take place overnight when payments are not frequently processed to avoid any impact on your payment processing.
Will I still have access to reports and data from before the upgrade?
Yes, you will continue to have access to all normal reporting and data from prior to the upgrade. The only change after upgrading is that credit card and ACH deposits will be combined.
Why do you need my personal information in the onboarding form?
Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each individual or business that opens an account in order to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. In order to comply, we will ask for your identifiable information, including your full name, address, date of birth, and other business information. We may also ask to see your Identification Card, Driver's License, and/or other identifying documents.
Who must be listed as Owners on the onboarding form?
Personal information must be provided for Sole Proprietors or each individual, if any, who directly or indirectly owns twenty-five percent (25%) or more of the ownership interest of the Legal Entity listed on the application. A Legal Entity includes a corporation, limited liability company, or other entity that is formed by the filing of a public document with a Secretary of State or similar office, a general partnership, and any similar business entity formed in the United States.
Who is authorized to complete onboarding and accept the Terms and Conditions?
The Terms and Conditions should be accepted by an owner. In the absence of an individual with 25% or more ownership of the business, you will need to provide personal information for an Authorized Contact.
An Authorized Contact is an individual with significant responsibility for managing the Legal Entity, unless one of the owners identified is an officer of the Entity. A controlling authority, or 'Control Prong,' includes but is not limited to: Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Managing Member, General Partner, President, Vice Presidents, or an individual with significant legal authority to enter the Legal Entity into a commercial relationship.
Who should I contact if I have questions about the upgrade or need help completing onboarding?
